One of the most requested sets we’ve ever made, Monty's Shepherd’s Pie is a faithful tribute to the pickups in Keith Richards’ legendary Telecaster, Micawber, one of the most iconic five-string, or six strings for that matter, telecasters in rock ’n’ roll history

If you’re chasing that raunchy, Stones-soaked Keef Tele flavour, look no further.

Keith famously uses a late-’60s lap steel pickup in the bridge of Micawber, mounted with just two screws. We’ve faithfully recreated the sonics of this pickup, but we wound it onto a Telecaster frame for easy installation in any T-style guitar.

The bridge delivers all the sweet grind, glassy harmonics, and unmistakable bite Micawber is known for.

The neck pickup is a PAF-style humbucker, smooth, soulful, and thick, while retaining clarity and articulation Monty’s PAFs are famous for.

On their own, each pickup delivers an iconic rock ’n’ roll voice, but the real magic happens when they’re blended, pure Honky Tonk Women.

We offer a dedicated wiring loom for this based on Keith’s Micawber setup, allowing you to blend both pickups for Keith's classic tone.

Aged Nickel and Aged Gold sets include an aged bridge pickup, while all other sets include an unaged bridge pickup to match the humbucker.
