50's Gibson Wired Stratocaster Loom

If versatility were an art form, the Stratocaster would be a masterpiece. Monty’s 50's Gibson Wired Stratocaster wiring loom pays homage to this rather marvellous design by rendering Leo Fender’s ingenious wiring with the very best components we can find in a circuit configuration that Gibson pioneered. 

This changes the wiring of the tone cap to resemble that used in a 50's Les Paul. In turn, this affects the interaction between the volume and tone pots, keeping the guitar brighter as you roll down the volume. 

This wiring harness is handmade by us using the highest quality components: 250K audio taper CTS pots, a CRL 5-way switch, our own super high-quality 0.022uf paper-in-oil tone cap, vintage-correct pushback wire and a Switchcraft jack. Basically, all the good stuff.

With this wiring setup you do not need a treble bleed, in fact one will make this sound not so special. 

The parts are all American imperial-sized, so they may not automatically fit on import instruments with metric-sized parts without a little modification. If you are unsure, please contact us in advance and we will advise what needs to be done.

This harness is available in both right-handed and left-handed configurations.
